About Basker Deveraj

Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity and not a threat." With 22+ years of IT leadership, my journey has spanned building practices from scratch and showcasing innovation on some of the world’s biggest stages. From starting as a trainee in multimedia applications to leading global projects across Metaverse, AI, Industry 4.0, and digital twins, my career has always centred on one mission: to turn emerging technology into a current business asset. Most recently at Tech Mahindra, I led the creation of the Emerging Technology practice, scaling it to a 100+ member unit and delivering 50%+ managed margins. I directed award-winning Metaverse solutions that outperformed 300+ nominations across Mahindra Group companies, while helping real estate and automotive clients save multi-million dollars through AI-driven sustainable energy projects. Earlier at Danfoss, I set up the GCC Centre for the Drives business unit, ensuring a seamless shift of development from onsite to remote. At Macmillan, I was a founding member of a new research unit that scaled to 100+ employees in just 3 years, earning me two Star Performer of the Year Awards. What sets me apart is my ability to partner with hyperscalers like Microsoft, Google, Meta, AWS, NVIDIA, Intel, and Dell to deliver next-generation solutions. Outside work, I mentor startups, engage in global forums like AWS re:Invent and Salesforce Dreamforce, and remain deeply committed to helping the next wave of innovators succeed.
