As a Spiritual Care Practitioner, I am committed to delivering holistic care that addresses not just the physical health of individuals but also their emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Holistic care is centered on the whole person, understanding that wellness involves a balance of mind, body, and spirit. Through compassionate presence, I build trusting relationships that provide support during challenging times. My role often focuses on supporting patients and their families navigate the emotional and spiritual adjustments that accompany illness, while also exploring deeper questions of meaning and purpose. Whether providing bereavement care, assisting with relational difficulties, or offering guidance in times of crisis, I am dedicated to being a source of comfort and support. I work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure that the psycho-social-spiritual needs of patients and their families are addressed. As an advocate for the healing power of belief systems and spiritual practices, I help individuals use their own values and beliefs to cope with adversity. I extend this care to the hospital staff, offering support and guidance through advocacy and involvement in various staff-related matters. As a resource for emotional and spiritual well-being, I am committed to fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for all. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as a supervisor for interns completing their Clinical Psycho-Spiritual Education units. Mentoring and guiding the next generation of practitioners is a key part of my role, as I support their professional growth and development. By fostering a learning environment that emphasizes both practical skills and the integration of psycho-spiritual care, I help prepare interns to provide compassionate and holistic care to those in need.
