Hello, I’m Bavya, a Commerce graduate whose curiosity for technology sparked an exciting, ever-evolving career journey across finance and tech. It all started with an unconventional high school decision: pairing Commerce with Computer Science. While it raised eyebrows, it felt like the perfect blend of logic and business and I’ve been chasing that fusion ever since. My undergraduate fascination with Banking Law and Operations led me to a role at Citi India, where I supported North American retail banking ops and learned how precision and process drive financial systems. But I soon realized that to truly innovate, I needed to go deeper into tech. So, while still at Citi, I pursued a Post Graduate Certification in Data Science and Business Analytics from UT Austin. Now at Singapore Management University, pursuing a Master of IT in Business (FinTech & Analytics), I’m sharpening my edge in digital banking, payments, data science, and spreadsheet modeling while interning at Kristal.AI. At Kristal, I work on middle-office operations for Variable Capital Companies (VCCs) handling NAV computation, asset allocation compliance, Bloomberg & DBS IDEAL coordination, and risk monitoring for options-based sub-funds. I analyze fund bank transactions, navigate Bloomberg pricing flows, and ensure funds stay within their investment mandates. My goal? To build a career at the intersection of finance and technology where I can apply operational insight, regulatory understanding, and data-driven thinking to solve real-world challenges in fund structuring, investment operations, and fintech consulting. I’m always eager to connect with professionals and teams who are passionate about redefining financial services whether through better systems, smarter compliance, or more inclusive innovation.
