About Bayron Cabrera

Over the past 6+ years, I’ve grown a strong passion for embedded software engineering while building a solid foundation in hardware design. I started my journey working on hardware with tools like Altium Designer, where I learned how circuits work and discovered how much I enjoy the connection between hardware and software.For the last 5 years, I’ve been focused on embedded software, programming microcontrollers like PIC, STM, and NXP. I’ve worked with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS and Zephyr, which have taught me a lot about creating efficient, event-driven systems. This experience has helped me design reliable software architectures.I’ve also developed skills in designing and building UI applications for testing embedded devices. Working with manufacturing teams, I’ve created test jigs to ensure devices perform perfectly in production, combining technical precision with creative problem-solving.Currently, I’m diving into embedded Linux, leading a project with the Yocto Project to create custom distributions and develop device drivers. It’s exciting to turn complex ideas into real products that make an impact.What keeps me motivated is my love for learning and taking on new challenges. I enjoy breaking down complicated tasks into manageable pieces and always look for ways to improve. This mindset drives my work and makes me excited about the future of embedded engineering.
