About Beata Hauser

Combining extensive experience from the private sector, a passion for humanitarian projects and medical education, I aim to build and lead humanitarian organizations that bring innovative and/or unique products/services for all people to live life to the fullest. After a brief stint as a practising doctor at a university hospital’s infectious disease department, I joined the Red Cross where I was responsible for educational programs for teenagers on HIV, and later for refugee camps during the Yugoslavia war. Since then, I have been splitting my time between business management roles and social projects. I have spent 25+ years in top management of original global pharma companies including GSK and Ipsen. Apart from general management, my focus has been on sales, marketing, and governmental affairs. I have a track record of building leadership in almost all of the companies’ therapeutic areas. Voted among Top 25 Business Women in the Czech Republic in 2016, My last position was a Head of Central and Eastern Europe for Santen, an original pharmaceutics company. On the social impact side, I have established several healthcare and social affairs foundations, all of which have gained prestige in their respective fields (epilepsy, Alzheimer disease, support of old people). On the EU level, I influenced the Structural funds policies to make healthcare projects eligible for funding, from 2005 onwards, and stimulated debate on healthcare reforms in the then new member states by founding the European Health Academy, a voluntary platform for the countries’ national healthcare deputy ministers and parliamentary social affairs committees.
