About Beata Stace

Having graduated from a Chicago Public School I became very passionate about public education disparity in large US cities. This inspired me to study classes such as sociology and politics in the hopes of one day working in public education reform. While at UW-Madison, I spent a semester studying abroad in Madrid, Spain and another semester interning for the governor of Wisconsin, Jim Doyle. This experience showed me that although I loved politics, it was not a career I wanted to purse. Instead I wanted to travel and start a career in international education. Upon graduating from Wisconsin, I moved to London and began working as a tour guide. I learned London's rich history and shared it with travelers from all over the world. The following year I moved to Australia where I began working for OzIntro, a company that provided assistance to young travelers moving to Australia. I quickly was asked to work for their sister-company in Thailand, ThaIntro where I worked in the tourism industry as a group leader. My time in Spain, London, Australia and Thailand taught me cultural awareness, improved my leadership skills, and enhanced my ability to take initiative. I also learned how to budget my finances as well as organize and manage my time. After Thailand, I returned to Australia to complete a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and currently work for the University of Sydney where I hope to advance my career in International Education.
