About Beate Kessler-McDermott

Beate comes to Hilton Hyland from the high end world of Haute Couture bringing with her the expertise of an entrepreneur and the keen eye and artistry of a designer of luxury goods. A native of Germany, educated both in Europe as well as in the United States, Hilton Hyland, with it’s exclusive and international clientele, is a perfect fit for someone with her unique background and extensive relocation experience. Due to Beate’s lifetime professional affiliation in the world of business as well as in art and design, she is a proven negotiator able to handle difficult situations creatively and diplomatically. As a long time resident of Los Angeles with a broad spectrum of interests, she excels at locating ideal properties that will fulfill her clients lifestyle needs and dreams. Innovation, out of the box creativity while remaining one step ahead of the crowd is her marketing strategy and specialty. Her partner in life and Real Estate is her husband Neil McDermott, a top producing realtor at Hilton Hyland for the past fifteen years. Beate has a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar, studied French culture and history at the Sorbonne and painting under Yves Brayer at the Atelier Julian, Paris. Her many philanthropic associations include The National Charity League, The Ebell of Los Angeles, Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society and The Quadrille Ball in NYC. Although no longer active in the fashion industry, Beate still enjoys taking on select design projects designing for classical ballet and dance- Her designs can be seen on soloists around the world as well as on numerous televisions commercials and music videos. She speaks English, German and French.
