About Beatrice Duncan

I'm a fresh front-end coding convert who has a New Zealand accent and lives in Toronto. I made my way into tech via almost a decade of elementary teaching experience & my various leadership roles in edutech. I'm super excited to find a good fit in my first job as a front end developer, and to help lift those stats of women in the tech industry! I use my drive and adaptability to problem solve and push further. I learn and collaborate with people by dedicating myself to team goals and making others feel appreciated. I value myself as someone who is committed to high standards and achieve this through diligence, excellent organisation and task management skills. With a background in education I have developed outstanding interpersonal skills, a balance between flexibility and structured planning, and an inquisitive & solution based approach to new challenges. My time studying fashion taught me how to work well under pressure, developed my design-based thinking and strengthened my eye for detail.
