Professional Summary: I am a distinguished global Higher Education Leader and international strategist with over two decades of leadership experience. I have advised over 150 companies on growth strategies, successfully navigating CEO transitions, corporate digital transformations, and international expansions. As a former McKinsey strategy consultant and senior university administrator, I leverage strategic thinking on a global level, focusing on growth and innovation strategies. Board Experience: I served as a board director for EllisDon, one of Canada’s largest construction companies, for 18 years, where I was also a member of the Compensation Committee. During my tenure, I contributed to digital transformation, strategic planning and execution, international growth, executive compensation, CEO transitions, and private-public partnerships (P3s). I bring extensive governance expertise and a commitment to fostering collaborative thought-leadership. Leadership and Initiatives: I co-founded and led the highly successful 30% Club campaign in Canada, chairing the Steering Committee and bringing together over 220 CEOs to support more women on corporate boards. I also built the Rotman Initiative for Women in Business and served as a representative for UN Women in Canada. Academic Roles: As a Professor of Strategy at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, I served as Associate Dean and am currently the Academic Director for Global and Experiential Learning. I am deeply engaged in leading-edge thinking, from digital technology to the impact of not-for-profit leadership. Public Sector Contributions: In the public sector, I served on advisory committees for various ministries, co-chaired Canada’s first women-only trade mission to Japan, and was a member of the advisory board for UN Women in Canada. I also worked with the provincial government of Ontario as chair of the Women in Business Steering Committee in 2016/17.
