About Beatriz Infante

I have a combined background in Biological Engineering and Computational Biology/Bioinformatics. My Bachelor’s in Biological Engineering gave me a strong understanding of bioprocesses and allowed me to develop strong reasoning and critical thinking skills. Complementing this, my Master’s in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics provided me with the tools to analyze and interpret complex biological datasets using statistical and machine learning approaches.For my Master’s thesis, I had the opportunity to do an internship at a diagnostics company in Rotterdam, where I worked on bulk RNA-seq analyses in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, focusing on molecular and immunological differences between immunosuppressed and immunocompetent patients. This work was developed in R and allowed me to further strengthen my biological interpretation and critical thinking.I enjoy working at the intersection of biology, data and clinical relevance, and I’m particularly interested in human diseases and translational research.
