About Beatriz Vivar

As a sustainability enthusiast, I must admit I spent most of my life opposing the energy industry and declaring war to oil corporations. I am now working for Galp. Ironic? Perhaps a bit, but I am lucky enough to join this sector right in the middle of a radical transition. Change needs to happen, and it's time we stop seeing problems and start seeing opportunities. Green is the only way forward, and although it won't be easy, who doesn't enjoy a good challenge? I truly believe we need the most creative, passionate and driven people, if we really want to make this happen. With a background in Engineering and one and a half years working for one of the fastest-growing startups in Europe, I am now helping the Global Transaction Team grow Galp's portfolio in the Renewables world, bringing together analytical thinking, a do-er attitude and (of course) lots of energy.
