I am a social media specialist and marketing manager with over 3 years of experience in B2B software marketing, and 1.5 years of experience in B2C social community marketing. In my first year working as a social media and community manager, I ran a successful social marketing campaign and competition partnered with FOX entertainment for the premiere of the "Last Man Standing" TV show. The main objective of our marketing campaign was to increase brand awareness and connect with users. Upventur connected like-minded adventurers and outdoor activity guides. The main source of content was our professional athletes, brand ambassadors, and user-generated content, which we utilized to create a cohesive and recognizable brand image. I transitioned from B2C community management into B2B marketing at Code Authority (now Improving). I was responsible for brainstorming, curating, designing, and/or approving all graphical assets (checking against branding guidelines and QA'ing) for all the social media content. The social networks I was in charge of were: LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. During my time I was able to increase the social following tremendously through showcasing our expertise, company culture, and various marketing videos. During my time at Nexrage (current), I have been able to expand my knowledge base to include TikTok, Medium, content writing, full video curation, and added to my graphic design portfolio. I hold the sole marketing position within the company, relying on myself and several developers for content. About my life: In my free time, I am a very creative person, a cat mom, and firmly stand against animal cruelty. I try to add at least one creative activity each day. Art and creativity are one of the ways I manage my mental health. Art is a form of escape and therapy for trauma and other emotions not easily articulated, art allows the release of negative or positive emotions through nonverbal and creative methods. Mental health awareness is very important to me. I am a mental health advocate, the goal is to help people understand and deal with their trauma and emotional/psychological health. The benefit of art isn't just relaxation. Art psychotherapy has been proven to not only assist and improve the symptoms of people suffering from dementia or memory issues but has also allowed veterans suffering from PTSD to better communicate with their peers, explore difficult and previously inaccessible feelings, and create a calming atmosphere, which most of them deeply needed.[University of Cambridge research study]
