About Becky Farley

Dr. Farley received a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Arizona, a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma. She has over 30 years of experience in neurorehabilitation, is the Founder and previous CEO of the nonprofit Parkinson Wellness Recovery | PWR! and is a Neuroscience Research Associate at the University of Arizona. During her post-doc, Dr. Farley studied bradykinesia, developed the LSVT® BIG exercise program, and completed an NIH funded randomized clinical trial documenting its’ short-term efficacy (3-months). She has now pioneered a functional approach to amplitude training that can be performed in any position; instructed by therapists and fitness professionals, and modified for all fitness and mobility levels. This flexible and progressive approach to PD-specific functional training adheres to learning-principles and allows for increased generalization into everyday activity (sports, hobbies, activities of daily living, FUNction) and into other PD-specific exercise programming (tai chi, pole walking, dance, boxing, yoga and more!).
