About Becky Malby

Professor with experience of executive and non-executive roles, across academia, health, think tank and policy organisations. I am an experienced manager and leader of- Networks, in the UK and Internationally - Autonomous professionals from clinical, academic and consulting disciplines - Delivery organisations and complex change programmes from within the NHS, in the corporate sector, in Higher Education- Citizen and service user voice in service change from policy to practice My research interests lie in Coproduction, Clinical Leadership and Networks in Health. Particular experience of innovation partnerships across health, social care, third and statutory sectors; securing sustained systems change for complex change issues across partnerships in place;(integrated solutions); leadership development for effective change from frontline to Board; developing research programmes in service to real-life issues in health and social care; developing data approaches that enable service change. I am an energetic and informed innovator in organisational approaches to evidence-based change; in the design and delivery of health services; in effective partnership approaches. I am passionate about improving all public service particularly health services; and I commission and lead inquiry approaches that develop solutions that involve users and providers/commissioners. I work in the UK and Internationally, with projects involving health leaders in Asia, Africa, USA and Europe. I have a track record of working with complex leadership and management challenges, and have particular experience in working with clinical leaders, bridging research and practice. My OD practice is in complex systems change. I am on the Advisory Board to a number of National Change Programmes, and a Visiting Fellow at Stellenbosch University, as well as a Nominator for Ashoka UK. I blog at
