About Becky Olvera Schultz

An award winning artist, her work has been represented in galleries in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Washington, Illinois, Montana, Michigan, Arizona, New York, Colorado and Oregon. She has participated in hundreds of exhibitions, including international and national juried shows as well as having 7 solo museum exhibitions, the most recent at the Petaluma Historical Museum. Her masks have been featured in Native Peoples Magazine, Cowboys & Indians Magazine, Wild West Magazine and numerous newspaper publications. Her masks are in private collections in the U.S, Canada and Europe, including Germany, Holland, Norway and Scotland. Specialties: Becky Olvera Schultz specializes in unique clay and mixed media museum quality masks inspired by the indigenous peoples of the Americas. Each piece is individually detailed and hand painted. She also creates rawhide shields, dolls, 2 dimensional works-photography, digital compositions and serigraphs as well as wall and free standing sculpture. All her masks are her original work and hand formed, not made from castings taken off someone's face. Becky began creating her art in 1993 and since she has managed her art site Native-Expressions.Com. In 2001 she created Powwow-Power.Com and soon after came Native-Art-Gift-Shop.Com, all part of Native Expressions Network.
