Background

About Becky Ozuna

I have 20 years of experience working in communications and media, with more than half of those years in state government. I started my career in the broadcast television industry then pivoted to social media and digital marketing for the Texas Department of Agriculture, Big Red soda. I then moved on to work in media relations as a spokesperson for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). After then managing the iconic Don't mess with Texas® anti-litter marketing campaign TxDOT for five years, I transitioned into Communications Operations Management. I have since been promoted to my current role as the director of internal communications for TxDOT. I enjoy learning and pride myself on my ability to be flexible and take on new tasks and roles when needed. Outside of work I like to hang out with my dogs and my husband. I'm always down to try a new coffee or taco shop. I love reading and traveling and I've recently picked up painting- but I have a way to go before I start sharing that with the internet.
