About Bee Pandya

I started my career as a pharmacist at St Thomas's Hospital in London and then later moved to the US. When I returned to the UK, I joined a large pharmaceutical company to support the launch of sumatriptan for 3 months. A real innovation for patients with a great unmet need and a first in class. As I reflect on the pace of breakthroughs in biology and potential new treatments today and the opportunity that digital technology provides, I truly believe the time for Medical Affairs to take the lead is now. That is why I am passionate about building medical affairs capability. Whether it is developing and executing great medical plans or communicating science in a powerful and engaging way so we can accelerate the value we can bring to the patients who are waiting After 30 happy years working in the corporate environment, on many medicines, with many different countries I have recently set up my own medical affairs consultancy so that I can focus on my strengths. During a team strengths exercise this what the team said;"strategic thinker, able to provide clarity, able to think through options, great at giving a narrative and the story, lifting people from detail to big picture, hugely experienced stakeholder manager, able to bring things back to the people and natural coach". I continue to coach today and come alive when people discover what is getting in the way of realising true potential. Through yoga and meditation I have discovered my own barriers and challenges, and enjoy teaching to help other to do the same.
