About Begudem Srinath

I am actively seeking Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Business Analytics full-time internships for Summer 2025 and Fall 2025. I am open to on-site, hybrid, or remote roles based on company needs. Additionally, I am available for full-time employment starting December 2025 and am willing to relocate as needed. I am a Master’s in Applied Data Science student at USC, maintaining an excellent academic record, specializing in machine learning, deep learning, AI optimization, and data engineering. My passion lies in solving complex data-driven problems, optimizing models, and building scalable AI systems. As a Teaching Assistant for DSCI 510 (Principles of Programming for Data Science) under Professor Alexey Tregubov, I guide 25+ students in mastering Python programming, SQL, and machine learning concepts. I assist with lab sessions, debugging, educational material development, and ensuring students grasp advanced programming and data science techniques. Previously, as a Grader for CSCI 585 (Database Systems) & DSCI 250 (Intro to AI/ML/DL) under Professor Saty Raghavachary, I evaluated assignments, conducted office hours, and helped students develop a strong mathematical foundation for AI and ML. At Cognizant (ICICI Lombard – Client), I worked as a Machine Learning Engineer, where I developed predictive models for insurance analytics, optimized ETL pipelines, and implemented Bayesian Optimization to improve model accuracy with limited computational resources. My current research focuses on local minima optimization in deep learning, improving generalization, reducing overfitting, and enhancing computational efficiency. I have also worked on OCR-based AI models for extracting text from 1TB-scale datasets to improve vision-language models. Let’s connect and collaborate!
