About Behnaz Quigley

Dr. Behnaz Z. Quigley is Professor of Accounting and Entrepreneurship at Marymount University. She has an MBA with concentration in Accounting. She received her Ph.D. from University of Maryland in Management Policy in 1987. Dr. Quigley has over 30 years of experience in teaching and administration of Higher Education. She has served as the Head of business school at Mountvernon College, Washington, D.C, Chair of the Accounting Dept. at Howard University, Washington, D.C, and Associate Dean of School of Business at Marymount University where she currently is tenured professor. She is the author of numerous books and articles in various journals such as journal of Business and Behavioral Science; Accounting Horizons of American Accounting Association; Journal of Professional Bookkeeping and Management; Journal of Direct Marketing, Journal of Washington Business Research Forum, and Journal of Advanced Management of Society for Advancement of Management. She also serves in Editorial Board of several scholarly journals. Dr. Quigley is the founder of University Systems Associate, an entrepreneurial and financial management consulting firm, with numerous consultancies with public and private enterprises, including UITM in Malaysia. In summer 2010 she assisted and provided guidelines in various research projects of the School of Accountancy and School of Business in UITM. She has served in various national and international boards and committees, such as regional and national committees of ACBSP. She has been guest speaker and panel member in numerous national and international conferences and organizations including Voice of America. She has conducted training seminars for Georgetown University Entrepreneurship Training Program and Center for Cultural Diversity, as well as their Global MBA program. Her biography has appeared in various issues of Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s who in the World since 1984.
