For 17 yrs I worked for a prominent attorney in Hancock Cnty, OH. I started w/ a local medium-sz firm in and a yr. later accompanied a partner when he opened his own small business, general practice. I was quickly promoted from legal assist. to OM. That co. thrived for nearly 2 decades but did not have the financial backing to accommodate its staff upon the owner's retirement. During my time w/ the firm I prepared legal docs, correspondence, supervised recruiting, interviews, onboarding, training, managed AP/AR, payroll, billing & transcribed dictation, handled PI demand pkgs, HIPAA auth, med. records requests/review, discovery, med. expense summaries, ltrs. of rep, depo. scheduling & trial binder prep. I performed basic accounting, maintained attorney calendars, organized office functions, prepared bi-mo. reports & other managerial duties. Following the downsize of the co. a position was actually created for me at my next, larger firm, w/ the request that I supply my knowledge to its day-to-day activities to increase productivity. I successfully incorporated several new, more efficient procedures to streamline the success of each co-worker, & the firm as a whole, to create room for new clientele. I implemented shared spreadsheets, grocery delivery, inventory organization & removed outdated unnecessary steps, all for the common goal of overall improved functionality. I then took on a sole practice firm that primarily represented estate planning & probate. I handled all of the daily operations, prepared estate docs. for full admini. & small estates, implemented online banking, shred bins, electronic filing, online supply order, spreadsheets & Outlook calendar, to again, streamline the office function & provide the opportunity for add'l caseload. I accelerated my career accepting a promoted position as a remote paralegal for a Cleveland, OH firm. I worked closely w/ my supervising atty. & our probate / family law clients, demonstrating empathy & providing support through our CM software. Everything happens for a reason & all my dedication lead me to KGI Wireless. I was beyond thrilled to join the team as a remote legal analyst.
