About Beki Roberts

I have worked from home for about 10 years, ever since my first child was born. I decided that I was going to find a way to raise my child, myself, and earn some money. Fortunately, I didn't need to earn a ton, just part-time income. So, I looked for valid work from home opportunities. I spent some time working for Arise doing customer service and sales, over the phone. I learned patience, work ethic, and time management. I learned that working from home isn't for everybody. You have to be self-motivated and willing to try new things. The skills I didn't have, I learned. After the birth of my second child I started working on freelance sites. Those didn't exist at the beginning of my "at home career". I quickly saw the chance to exploit my college education and turn that into money. I started writing. It turns out that native English speakers, who can write quickly, and accurately are kinda hard to come by. However, I had a terrific English teacher and I can do all those things. I now make decent money writing from the comfort of my home. I apply all the experiences I previously learned. I have a great IT background and write for more than one IT blog. I use my customer service and sales background to do copywriting. I am constantly surprised how such a diverse background comes together to make such a satifying career.
