About Belete Tessema

I am an Assistant Professor of Process Engineering. I have spent the last decade to a combination of teaching, research, and community involvement. My teaching efforts have been directed towards a wide array of chemical engineering courses, tailored for undergraduate. These encompass subjects such as Mechanical Unit operations, Transport Phenomena, Mass transfer Unit operations, chemical thermodynamics I and II, Basic Environmental Engineering, Chemical reaction engineering I and II, Plant safety and hazardous Management, Solid waste and hazardous management, Biochemical engineering, Heat transfer, Engineering skills, and Thermal unit operation at the undergraduate level. Additionally, I have mentored students in chemical industry and advising the BSC degree students. My contributions to the academic landscape also extend to groundbreaking empirical investigations. This endeavour has culminated in the publication of several articles in internationally reputable peer-reviewed journals. Through these undertakings, my proficiency in research work, data analysis, and interpretation has been significantly enhanced. My grasp of statistical tools and chemical models is robust, complemented by my proficiency in chemical design, which include Origin, Mini tab, Chem draw, and Expert design. Parallel to my academic pursuits, I've been actively engaged in community service. This involvement has enabled me to extend valuable guidance to various works around Haramaya University. My foundation in interpersonal relations stands strong, serving as a testament to my holistic commitment.
