One sunny morning, a copywriter stops, takes out a marker pen and scribbles a few words on the sign, then moves on. From that day, the blind man’s cup is stuffed with notes and overflowing with change. The copywriter has adapted the sign to read: “SPRING IS COMING, BUT I WILL NEVER SEE IT. PLEASE HELP” (story usually attributed to David Ogilvy). I often tell this story when people ask what I do for a living. With a passion for combining hard facts with a human touch, my job is to uncover actionable insights from complex data. Because behind every data point is a person or story waiting to be understood. During my career, I have had the chance to work with few of the most innovative companies in the world (according to the famous Forbes 500), such as British Telecom, IBM, Syngenta, Keyence. Currently, I am leading transformational data projects at Nespresso’s customer experience and insights team.
