About Belva T.

Applying the skillsets I've learned from SkillsFuture Work-Study Program(WSP) in Branding Design, I am currently working in a creative agency that I was attached to during the program as a full-time graphic designer while helping the company to gear towards providing branding services. Prior to this, I attained a Higher Nitec Certificate in Visual Merchandising from the Institute of Technical Education, College Central before pursuing my studies further in Integrated Design under Communication Design at Temasek Polytechnic. I am constantly driven to find solutions to improve the way people receive information and communicate with one another. Those efforts can be seen from my previous works that were done during school modules such as Advertising, Web, and Mobile design. My passion started ever since I interacted with design when I volunteered to be a part of my church's Visual Arts Ministry, creating social media content to engage the youths. Through my past experiences in school, workplaces, and church, I realized that I enjoy working in groups. I find it interesting that working with different people produces different results and it has always made me grow as a person in terms of communication and responsibility. Apart from that, I genuinely find joy in talking to people, especially kids and youths, to see things from different perspectives. During my three years in Temasek Polytechnic, I was involved in three Design School's Freshmen Orientation Camp as a group leader to facilitate and ensure the freshmen are settled in this new environment. I have learned to step out of my comfort zone and communicate effectively while working with other individuals. Random fact: My playlist varies from different languages of pop songs to crime podcasts.
