About Ben Aschaker

I worked in coffee for seven years and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, yet I work in libraries and community service. Despite the somewhat odd nature of this scenario, everything I have done and do synthesizes into every aspect of the good work I've done and continue to provide. Every moment of the day and decisions that have and continue to be made provide opportunities to learn and grow. It's this sentiment that most perfectly describes the professional that I am. I have an adoration for reading and writing as well as public service and community development. My mom is my greatest hero, she was a juvenile court services social worker who helped children in tough situations survive and succeed. It's that world of support and love that I hope to enable in others. If I could provide that for anyone, that's the true gain I'd consider to be the mark of success.
