About Ben Braysher

I am currently working as a Senior Data Analyst with the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner at the Attorney General's Department, Canberra at an APS6 level. I have also acted at the EL1 level several times. Previously employed as a Contract Data Analyst with the Department of Jobs and Small Business (9 months), the Department of Health in Canberra (18 months), as well as the Department of Education in Canberra (13 months). Prior to that, employed for 6 years as a Research Officer at NCVER in the Surveys Branch - the main survey I was concerned with was the Student Outcomes Survey, which asked graduates from vocational education how their training was, whether they found a job and whether their training was useful in finding a job. I also spent 3 years with the Standards Branch of NCVER, developing derived fields and data quality checks for the national VET Data Collection and the national Apprentices and Trainees data Collection. Previously worked in the data analysis and compilation of the International Trade publications at the Australian Bureau of Statistics as well as a consultant and project Statistician in the Agricultural industry. I moved back to Adelaide for personal reasons in early 2023.
