In my role at TechnoServe, I co-create and design multi-year programs with our clients and manage organization-wide strategic planning initiatives. Previously, I was an independent consultant specializing in business strategy and development. I was involved in Mexico’s startup ecosystem and designed an incubator program for early stage companies lead by disadvantaged young entrepreneurs. The program builds their capacity to develop customers and products, generate business models and plans, strengthen leadership and management skills, and acquire funds. Previously, I led business development activities for DAI, one of the largest and most respected international development firms. For DAI, I increased the company’s market share for information and communications technology solutions. Prior, I established the business development unit for DAI LAC, growing the portfolio by 886% over a two-year period. A key accomplishment was the design and implementation of a hybrid business development model to pursue both government and private sector clients. Before leading business development activities for DAI LAC, I was an integral part of the team that led the implementation of DAI’s international expansion strategy. I conducted market research and developed go-to-market strategies for DAI’s local companies in Southern Africa, Middle East and North Africa, and Pakistan. Prior to this position, I managed and developed multi-million dollar proposals for large institutional clients such as bilateral donor agencies, multilateral development banks, as well as large foundations and private sector customers. I am the author of Inclusive Public Procurement: A Desktop Review funded by the Ford Foundation.
