I am a highly motivated and focused Finance Director with 15+ years of hands-on experience in finance, strategy and operational roles for multinational companies and rapidly growing organisations in the transport and hospitality sectors. Until recently, I led the Finance and Operations teams at RSC. Working with divisional leaders I improved profit, working capital performance and project efficiency through providing valuable commercial insight and analysis that positively impacted strategic change and delivered improved business and financial efficiencies through process design, implementation and change management- I delivered a process improvement and task management project that delivered a 25% time saving in month-end reporting whilst reducing Finance team headcount - I led a project which improved working capital by £2m in 18 months. Achieved and maintained through defining clear guidelines for invoicing/payment terms, a global training initiative to improve awareness and instigating rigorous credit control processes - I headed an initiative that, through development and implementation of an integrated project budgeting and tracking system, reduced overspending projects With the backing of a deep knowledge of finance, accounting and business systems my colleagues know me as a respected adviser, communicator and passionate, but pragmatic, team leader. My role is to enable colleagues to make informed decisions, so they perform to their potential whilst delivering quality projects for clients in a controlled framework leads to business growth. Finance is at the centre of every organisation yet the understanding of Finance and the role it plays in driving productivity and performance is limited. I get proven results through partnering with colleagues, bringing clarity to financial metrics and making them relevant their role. I am a CIMA-qualified accountant with a BA in Business Studies from the University of Sheffield.
