I enjoy learning new languages and how the cultural differences play a role in communication. One of the biggest challenges that western manufacturers face when expanding production capabilities in developing countries is communicating and embodying values in the workplace. Quality, safety, due dates, empowerment, and strategic planning are common sources of misalignment. One of my most gratifying experiences was training our team in Brazil to work in a way that was aligned with our corporate values and seeing them come together for big wins. Now I’m looking for new opportunities for international companies do the same. Fun Facts: I’ve been to almost all of the countries in SE Asia and am currently staying in Thailand. I learned how to ride a motorcycle at 8 years old and have participated in road races at Portland International Raceway and ridden my Harley Davidson across the Western US. I speak Portuguese and am a huge fan of Brazilian culture. I’m also an amateur photographer and videographer.
