About Ben Dinsley

Over the past 10 years I have worked as a Physiotherapist within the NHS and private sectors, from intensive care to GP surgeries, to sports fields. I now work as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP), leading the service within a network of GP surgeries. Having reached the ceiling of progression in my current profession, I am seeking a new challenge and career direction. Working in healthcare I build new relationships with clients, promote health and wellbeing and work autonomously and part of a wider team on a daily basis. These communication and people skills along with the organization and strategy to manage a service and a never-ending caseload equip me with an array of transferable skills which will help me be successful in my new venture. As well as diagnosing head to toe medical symptoms and helping clients achieve their personal rehab goals, I have had a variety of business orientated success's including- Developing and implementing a pathway for Osteoarthritis management in line with Rotherham Clinical commissioning group (CCG) guidelines. Following implementation and clinical audit, I presented the concept to CCG and secured additional funding for the service. Results and re-audit showed significant improvements in patient outcomes, service cost savings and the service continues to run successfully today- Lead a FCP service within a Primary Care network. Developed the service to enhance and streamline patient care, improve efficiency and provide significant cost savings for the network - Built and delivered a training programme for junior Dr’s as part of their induction, clinical education and professional development- Analysis and feedback of Musculoskeletal mismanagement by GP’s - Supervised and mentored several junior physiotherapists and students - Created online content and resources for service users- Kept up to date with personal and professional development, including leadership courses.
