About Ben Ducharme

At my core, I'm a strategist who loves to understand human behavior, leveraging insights to inform action. I scratch this itch as an executive at Langston, a disruptive insights & strategy agency where I lead the Insights & Strategy team, and am ultimately responsible for client delivery of insights and strategy, product development, innovation, and client satisfaction. When it comes to insights, I balance the art and science research to deliver data-rich, human-centric stories that are grounded in underlying needs and biased towards action. My ultimate goal is to ensure that my clients are successful in unlocking the business decisions and path forward that prompted them to seek insights in the first place. This often means leveraging both descriptive statistics and advanced analysis to build frameworks and models that build a deeper understanding the market and enable effective decision-making. As a person, I value curiosity, integrity, responsibility, and kindness in all aspects of my work. These values not only guide my research approach but also shape how I build partnerships with stakeholders, deliver insights to c-suite executives, and lead my team at Langston. I am a firm believer that the most important (and most difficult) part of strategy work is choosing what NOT to do in order to avoid the trap of "being everything for everyone" and the slow decay towards mediocrity. As a former teacher and school leader, I am committed to doing my part in ensuring access to high quality public schools for all children. I am an advocate for teachers transitioning outside of the classroom and can help you translate your vast skills and knowledge to a new environment.
