Private markets in Australia are going through a once-in-a-generation shift. More companies are choosing to stay private longer, investors want access to opportunities beyond public markets, and the infrastructure to support all of this is finally catching up.I'm a Business Development Associate at FCX, the first platform in Australia to be licensed by both ASIC and the RBA to operate a private market with full clearing and settlement capabilities. In simple terms, we bring the rigour and transparency of listed markets to the private side.My focus is on helping companies and funds unlock liquidity through regulated capital market solutions. For private companies, that means facilitating primary capital raises and running secondary liquidity events so early investors and employees can realise value without the company needing to list. For fund managers, it means providing an alternative to traditional redemption structures by enabling regulated secondary transactions in fund units, giving investors a path to liquidity on their terms.Day to day, I work with companies, fund managers, wealth platforms, and advisors to help them navigate these opportunities. Whether someone is exploring their first liquidity event or looking to build an ongoing program, I help them understand what's possible within a fully regulated framework.I studied Commerce at the University of Sydney and have been working across private markets since 2021, including time at Global Investors and FinClear before joining FCX full-time.Always happy to connect, whether you're working in private markets, curious about the space, or just want to swap ideas.
