About Ben Elbert

Experienced Software Engineering leader with a demonstrated history of working in engineering practices focused on search, knowledge representation and retrieval, and distributed systems. I have built systems and managed teams working in platform development (including SDKs, APIs, event driven architectures, and distributed data workflows), ML/AI Ops and product development, and, more recently, focused heavily on the Authentication and Authorization challenges that arise in complex, distributed ecosystems with heterogenous data stores and agent profiles. Overall, I am passionate about tackling challenging problems, motivating engineers to solve those problems well, and turning ideas into MVPs and then into stable services. I enjoy engaging in and leading teams that work in strongly typed, compiled languages and in areas where pure CS and high performance systems are required.
