About Ben Evans

I am a very proud husband, father & Welshman and I am passionate about everything I do. During a 17 year professional rugby career I represented the Welsh rugby team and the Barbarians. My favourite moments would be playing at the Millennium Stadium in the World Cup and captaining the Barbarians. As a sports science University graduate I showed commitment and determination in the pursuit of achieving my degree, with honours. I am highly motivated and always able to motivate others. As a former elite sportsman, I have been equipped with an array of transferable skills. I thrive on building strong relationships and I value trust and honesty. My ability to successfully engage with people is second to none. because I care.I have also successfully coached at a professional level, managed an elite player development program and mentored young athletes. Rugby has taken me all around the world (on tours) and I played professional rugby in Wales, England & Italy where I lived there for three years. I am a fluent Italian speaker and I love challenging myself. In April 2014 I finished my last professional rugby contract in the UK and moved to Sydney to be with my now wife. We have 2 amazing children and I'm very grateful for the wonderful life we have. My personality and love for life is infectious and I'm passionate about helping others. I started working in recruitment back in 2014 in a 100% commission only role. In 2016 I started Blue Bison Recruitment and I loved every moment of establishing my own successful business. Whilst work in the Talent Acquisition & Recruitment sector, some of my favourite recruits were pro-bono but recruitment wasn't good for my soul. It wasn't my calling. I'm motivated by helping people who really need help and that's why I've joined Stepping Stone House. Making a difference and doing all I can to end Youth Homelessness in Australia.
