About Ben Evans

Through organizing and leading lobby trainings, I was known as the "politics guy" on my undergraduate college campus. I graduated in 2016 with a major in Community and Justice Studies from Guilford College - a course of study examining how groups of people organize to create change from outside the existing power structure. With a passion for politics, I moved to DC and started my career in social work. First at a soup kitchen providing case management for our homeless neighbors in Foggy Bottom, then as a job counselor for immigrants and formerly incarcerated individuals seeking a fresh start. To gain more grassroots organizing experience, I worked as a door-to-door political canvasser for state and local environmental campaigns. Later, and through most of the pandemic, I was the interim Youth Director at a church in McLean, VA. When that opportunity ended, I was lucky to be hired by the Graduate School of Political Management. I attended grad school while working full-time and graduated in May of 2024 with a Master's in Political Management - a course of study examining how to create change from within the existing power structure. I recently started a new role as a Marketing Manager at Winning Connections, Inc. in DC, and I'm excited to support candidates and organizations in making a positive difference on the issues impacting their communities.
