About Ben Franklin
I'm a freelance video production creative, based in the UK, with over 14 years experience in the industry. My main focus for freelance work is Post Production, having been employed as an Editor on numerous Corporate, Commercial and TV/Film based projects. As a former Creative Director, and Director of Post Production, I've also been involved with all aspects of filmmaking and have worked on a variety of high end projects. I'm also a Producer and Director, and the Creator of Bloody Cuts Films (BC Horror Ltd.), an award winning horror series that has found world-wide acclaim. In 2017 we won a Webby Award for our film 'The Birch', which has been seen over 35 million times online. I'm currently working with Crypt TV as a co-producer on Season 2 of the show for FACEBOOK WATCH. I'm also developing feature film, television and digital projects both in the UK and LA with fellow co-conspirator Anthony Melton, as well as continuing to produce original short film content at Recently we were commissioned to write a screenplay for FOX/DISNEY and are prepping to go to finance, and also have a number of films and shows in development and under option in the UK and abroad. In 2017 we created a horror short film, for FOX DIGITAL, as part of their sponsored ‘Bite Size Horror’ content. The film went on to win ‘Best Horror’ at Hollyshorts and also played at Canneseries. In 2018 we created a found footage vertical horror film called 'The Nest' for Snapchat/NBC Universal, released over Halloween. Producing the original Bloody Cuts series entailed crews of up to 40 people, managing 7 different VFX artists simultaneously, whilst working with composers, sound designers and foley artists to deliver the final film(s)- Skills: Premiere Pro CC / DaVinci Resolve / After Effects CC Specialties: Editing (offline/online), Directing, Producing, Sound Design, Colorist, Post Production Workflow, Digital Delivery, Creative planning
