About Ben Freeman

I started working in the festivals and events industry in my late teens and I was immediately hooked! I loved the fast-paced environment, meeting lots of new people and being part of a team that creates events that tens of thousands and sometimes hundreds of thousands of people come to enjoy. Over the years I’ve worn every hat in business, and while I’ve been successful at each, I find tremendous success in the areas of Event Production, Grant Writing and Financial Management. These three areas of focus have resulted in significant organizational transformations for many of my employers and clients. When I started out in this field, a mentor gave me three guiding principles to work & live by; 1) Never leave something to tomorrow than you can finish today 2) 80% of success is following through and staying true to your word 3) Always be open to new ideas and ways of doing business Even today, I bring those lessons with me on every new project and I believe that these ideologies are in part responsible for the success I’ve realized over my career. When I’m not planning and executing events, I’m out hiking & camping, spending time with friends and family or riding my motorcycle & bike… because life is better on two-wheels.
