Ben Grant Partner, Executive Producer Goalpost Pictures Over the past three decades Ben has worked in the screen sector, initially as an accountant and later as a producer at Goalpost Pictures Australia. Ben has been involved in numerous productions, overseeing total costs for Goalpost Pictures of nearly $200M, including successful films such as The Sapphires and The Invisible Man, as well as beloved television shows like Cleverman and Black Snow. Ben’s experience spans both the financial and legal aspects of production, including contractual negotiations with distributors and broadcasters. He has adapted to the shifting landscape of the industry, from analog to digital platforms, and has a deep understanding of the Australian incentives, both at federal and state levels. During his involvement with Australia’s producers’ guild, Screen Producers Australia, Ben has participated in industrial negotiations with the cast and crew union, and is currently serving on the committee negotiating with the MEAA for a newly updated crew agreement. Ben has been a member of the Film Certification Advisory Board for the past nine years. In this role, he provides advice to the Minister for the Arts on applications for the Location and Post Digital & Visual Effects (PDV) Offsets. Ben possesses a deep understanding of these incentives, including the Department's guidelines and various types of content produced. Ben is a past Board member of the Australian Directors’ Guild, past vice president and counsellor of Screen Producers Australia, is a past deputy chair and Board member of Screenrights. Beyond his professional experiences, Ben is a devoted member and Ambassador of the Sydney Swans Football Club, promoting the club and the positive role that sport can play in our community.
