About Ben Greenstein
I am currently Dean of the School of Social and Natural Sciences at Roger Williams University. I am passionate about exploring methods for delivering a liberal education to a broader spectrum of students seeking post-secondary education. Prior to coming to RWU, I was Associate Dean at Cornell College (Mount Vernon, IA) and a faculty member in geology. As Associate Dean, I authored the college's most recent strategic plan and founded the Cornell Summer Research Institute. As a member of the geology department, I conducted marine geologic research with undergraduate students in tropical marine environments around the world and regularly taught a field course in the Bahamas. My research interests include the sustainability of the modern coral reef ecosystem.
