About Ben Hansen

I have been a passionate educator in career development for the last 16 years. Career counseling and employer relations are what I do best. I continue to assist students in job/internship searching, interviewing, and salary negotiation while working directly with employers acquiring new talent. Please contact me at bdhansen@umn.edu if you want to connect. I have experience managing internship scholarship programs and facilitating intentional development of students during and after their internship experiences. I enjoy teaching students whether it’s 1:1, through group workshops, or as an instructor. As a certified practitioner of the Strong and MBTI, I help students explore the influence of different personalities and interests in the workplace and teach the value of greater self awareness. Specialties: supervision, employer relations, career counseling, internship scholarship coordination, self-assessments, student development, teaching, and event planning. I rely on my proven leadership, communication, presentation, and counseling skills on a daily basis.
