I’m Ben, currently a digital forensics officer with the Data Acquisition Team at West Midlands Police. I’m a happy, approachable man but with a real drive for clear and detailed work output whilst adhering to any deadlines set out. My experience is very varied throughout my life from starting out in retail, warehouse work in my younger years then moving to security and then finally moving to the Police. I’m experienced in all manner of investigations from intel searching to processing evidence. I have a demonstrated history of working in the law enforcement industry and am currently in my 5th year of employment with West Midlands Police. Skilled in Deliveries, Dispatching, Police investigation and inventory Management. I am punctual, always arriving early to work so that I am ready to work by my contracted start time. I work well as both an individual as well as part of a team and am easily able to meet any deadline set before me. I work well under pressure and am able to remain calm in stressful situations whilst also making clear and decisive choices that demonstrate clear rationale and logic. Owing to being a manager in a previous job and a supervisor in the Police I am able to prioritise and manage workloads for both myself and my team, dynamically risk assessing as I go to ensure jobs are done according to both operational needs but also taking into account the needs of the public and all other aspects of work requiring completion. From my time in security and Policing I am extremely skilled in conflict management and am able to diffuse volatile situations in a calm and collected manner
