About Ben Hindle

Over my career I have transitioned from hard science focussed roles toward the complexities of product innovation within multinational corporations. With strong scientific credibility I specialize in the building of consumer-centric innovation teams where there is a need to participate in defining the long term strategy of the business rather than simply delivering product to prescription. Consumer centric innovation programs, consumer insights strategies and Open Innovation are core to my innovation approach. I have developed exploratory programs for effective co-creation in non-local markets (extensively in Developing Markets) as well as structured insights programs for R&D teams co-located in their target markets. My experience with product categories and businesses that are as diverse as listed pharmaceuticals through to small business start-ups affords me an understanding of the implementation process of creative product development that is rather unique and adaptable to most business environments. More recently I have begun facilitating an MIT Sloan School of Management executive education course focussed on the application of Innovation Ecosystems (a type of open innovation strategy) to many different types of organisation, form traditional corporate through to non-profit and even public sector.
