I have been a part of the Emergency Medical Services field in Charleston, SC for 13 years, beginning as an EMT and advancing to Paramedic 9 years ago. I’ve worked for every type of ambulance service in Charleston, from County 911, Hospital-based inter-facility transport and private service. Before l began in EMS, and during my years in EMS, I’ve designed websites and graphic art and, with the exception of “EMScapades”, had never done these professionally. As for “EMScapades”, I have been an editorial cartoonist for The Journal of Emergency Medical Services @ JEMS.com since 2018. I also have a collection of nearly 500 comic strips on my own website, emscapades.com, and have produced 5 self-published book featuring collections of the comic strips, available on Amazon.
