About Ben Leighton

As a graduate from Washington State University and diehard Coug fan, I hold a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and a minor in Real Estate. Before switching to that field of study, I took two and a half years of Architecture and Design which helped me to understand what career path was right for me. With over ten years working in the construction industry, I have obtained experience in the following- Building and Plumbing Inspections. Code requirements and an understanding of the ICC and UPC- Project estimation, scheduling, material identification, budget review and approval, contract/RFI and submittal review, and vendor/subcontractor management - Building processes and oversight of small to mid-sized commercial buildings, and multi-family and single family residential units - Time management under strict deadlines to meet the needs of clients and customers - Building and Operations Management, including supervision of small groups of employees, policy development and contributions through budget review and adjustment processes - Job site safety, including proficiency in CPR and First Aid -Experienced in ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction processes.
