Background
About Ben Lomas
lomasb@bpc.ac.ukExperienced manager of technical teams within broadcast media in London, currently taking this industry experience into the world of education at the college I attended many years ago. Currently teaching at Bournemouth and Poole College within the media team, specialising in Video Production and branching into Photography, Graphic Design and Audio Production. When working in London as an Edit and Media Support Manager one of my primary roles was to train and develop the skills of edit assistants with broadcast television. Teaching, training, advising and watching these young edit assistants develop to rise through the ranks was the highlight of my career. This ultimately is what inspired me to become a teacher and there was no better place to do this than Bournemouth and Poole College where my media journey had began at the age of 16. I hope to bring real world context to the students and prepare them for the potential job roles ahead of them in an industry I am incredibly passionate about.
