Hello, I'm Ben. As an End User Platforms Technician at Essentia Health, I manage and deploy over 6,500 iOS devices across our East Market, ensuring smooth operations through Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Microsoft Intune and Imprivata GroundControl. My role is rooted in a deep commitment to efficiency, security, and user satisfaction, enabling our healthcare teams to deliver exceptional care. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, which provided me with a strong foundation in technology and problem-solving. My academic background, combined with diverse hands-on experience, has been instrumental in preparing me for my current role. At Geek Squad, where I worked as an Apple Pro - Advanced Repair Agent, I honed my skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues. My experience in this fast-paced environment taught me the importance of clear communication, especially when explaining technical concepts to clients with varying levels of expertise. These experiences, coupled with my earlier roles as an Advanced Repair Agent and Consultation Agent, have refined my technical acumen and customer service skills. My passion for technology extends beyond work. As a member of the Association for Computing Machinery at the University of Minnesota Duluth and as part of the Physics Engine Development Committee with Bulldog Rocketry, I have continually sought to expand my knowledge and apply it to challenging projects, such as developing an in-house physics engine using C++ and OpenGL. Earlier in my career, I gained valuable experience as a Computer Repair Technician at Westonka Public Schools, where I repaired Chromebooks as part of the Westonka Tech Intern program. This role helped me develop a strong technical foundation and an appreciation for the critical role that technology plays in education. Together, these experiences have equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and dedication needed to excel in my current role and contribute meaningfully to any future challenges.
