About Ben Mason
Completed an equine medicine and surgical internship at Sh. Mohammed bin Raschid's Dubai Equine Hospital before moving to Newmarket, UK to work for Rossdale's and Partners as a Thoroughbred racing associate. In 2006, I took up a role as a senior racing veterinarian at the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Hong Kong, China, before finally moving back to Flemington, Melbourne to start Crown Equine. I am an FEI Official Veterinarian and was the head vet for the Hong Kong Equestrian team in 2013 while also being actively involved the equestrian events at the Sydney and Beijing Olympics and the Asian Equestrian Games in China. I have a post-graduate degree in Veterinary Radiology and have been appointed as an examiner for the large animal radiology chapter in ACVSc. I have published two peer reviewed papers as first author in the Equine Veterinary Journal (UK) on equine castration and long term complications following left sided laryngoplasty and speak regularly at international conferences.
