About Ben McAuley

Starting as early as Middle School I knew I was artistic. I created drawings, sketches, cartoons, even some sculpting. My dad started as an architect right out of college and I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I am passionate for all things design whether it be homes, building, clothes, interior spaces, down to shoes and fashion. We had a construction company from the time I was 15 and I started out as a framer and setting trusses after the walls were built. Over time I started running projects myself and supervised builds. My first introduction to Autocad was in High School as well. For my Senior Project, I designed my first custom home and included floor plans, foundation and floor framing, roof framing, elevations and building cross sections. I did all this at the age of 16 when Autocad was in it's early days of being used industry wide. I am 41 now and have continued to develop my skills as an Architectural Designer and Draftsman. Over the past 5 years I have been working full time as a designer. Now moving into the 3D world I am able to bring my work to life in a bold, vivid display.
