Since graduating from the P&O program at Latrobe University in 1989, Geelong Orthotics established in 1997 expanded services in 2005 to include Extra Depth Footwear-Geelong. Both clinics continue to provide private and public Orthotic services in Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool. I have a particular interest in lower limb, complex musculo-skeletal and paediatric conditions. We continue to adopt future technologies to enhance the delivery of orthotic services and assistive technology. We currently incorporate CAD-CAM and look to the future for advanced materials and manufacturing techniques. Geelong Orthotics work closely with other health professionals to ensure we maximise possible outcomes and goals for our patients. Our focus is to assist with the treatment of injuries or disabilities with practical orthotic solutions. With professional and experienced staff, on-site manufacturing and utilising the latest orthotic technologies and materials we continue to stay at the forefront of orthotic care. We specialise in Orthopaedic trauma and post-op management, the Diabetic-High Risk foot and complex Neuro-Muscular conditions including Polio, Stroke, MS and neuropathies. Paediatric specialties includes collaborative management with the Orthopaedic and Allied Health Team, and parents or Carers. Conditions include Cerebral Palsy, DDH - Hip Dysplasia, Talipes-CTEV and Toe-walking. A highlight for me was the Winston Churchill Fellowship, which enabled me to travel for 3 months in 2002 to the USA, Canada and UK investigating the current trends and advancements in the Orthotic Management of paediatric cerebral palsy. Geelong Orthotics is backed by: OPIE - Patient-Centred - management software. VORUM - Cad-Cam. Scanning with Spectra Scanner, Rectifying with the CANFIT suite and carving with an ORTIS 7-axis Robot Geelong Orthotics are underpinned most importantly by our staff in admin/clinical and technical with many years of practice and expertise.
