Ben Mears is a Los Angeles based director and visual media producer. Over a decade of experience producing, directing, and editing has lent him a thorough understanding of the managing process, scope and schedule of various media productions - from creative start-ups, to major entertainment companies; from creative dev, to budgeting, tech specs and final delivery. He's deeply immersed in culture, lifestyle trends, and emerging technologies, and is continually managing a broad slate of visual media projects and concepts, ranging from theatrical short films, to strategic communications for brands, foundations, and entertainment companies. His directing work has been recognized at several international film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival (BIFF), the California International Shorts Festival, the LA Indie Film Fest, and the International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts (IFFCA). His short film, The Black Tulip (2013; co-director/producer), won the jury award for best short film at the 12th Annual International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film in London, UK.
